Ken Wilber is the most widely translated academic writer in America, with 25 books on psychology, philosophy, mysticism and consciousness translated into some 30 foreign languages, and is the first philosopher-psychologist to have his Collected Works published while still alive. Wilber is an internationally acknowledged leader and the preeminent scholar of the Integral stage of human development which continues to gather momentum around the world. He lives in Denver (CO), is the founder of Integral Institute, Inc., the co-founder of Integral Life, Inc., and the Senior Fellow of Integral Life Spiritual Center.

Eckhart Tolle

All live is now - there is no past and no future. "You cannot find yourself by going into the past. You find yourself by coming into the present. Only the present can free you of the past."
Eckhart Tolle sees in human beings the possibility for development towards a state called 'enlightenment' in the East. He himself reached it by accident - neither he had followed a spiritual practice nor he intendet it. In 2011, he was listed by the Watkins Review as the most spiritually influential person in the world.

Lao Tse (6th century BC)
"Bring things in order before they exist"
Lao Tse is a legendary chinese philosopher and wise man.
He lived in 6th century BC and is regarded as founder of taoism.
Famous is his work Tao Te Ching - verse of timeless wisdom and profound knowledge that have survived the milennia.
Thomas Hübl often reads extracts from the Tao Te Ching as an introduction to the morning meditation in his workshops. He prefers the translation by Stephen Mitchell.

Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879 - 1950)

Ramana Maharshi was a silent Teacher, if there was one. It would be more appropriate to call him the Silent One, for teaching denotes duality, the teacher and the taught. Ramana was, as a devotee wrote, 'the Pure Non-dual Essence.' His most direct and profound teaching was transmitted in silence. Maharshi taught the exploration of the self with the question "Who am I?" (Atma Vichara). He is considered one of the most famous wise and representatives of Advaita Vedanta in 20th century. Many Western spiritual teachers today rely on him and see him as their predecessor.
Ramana Maharshi died 1950. In that place, the ashram Sri Ramanasraman at Tiruvannamalai in South India, at the foot of the holy mountain Arunachala, there are today still many teachers and wisdom seekers. His "Samadhi" (tomb of a saint) is a pilgrimage site for thousands.
Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895 - 1986)

Krishnamurti was an indian philosopher, author, theosophist and spiritual teacher.
"It is becoming increasingly clearer that not environmental problems, death of hunger and poverty or the general injustice are the actual concern, but the fact that the people themselves become more and more the terror of this world. It is people who are destroying each other. They divide themselves with destructive, separating processes into classes and nationalities.(....) We have started to become dangerous for each other, as organised religions, professions of faith, and dogmata with their rituals are separating us, all this absurdity. War, preparation of war and atomic weapons - You all know the horror of this world. (….) Why are we, after millions of years of evolution, in which we have acquired a huge scope of knowledge and know-how, still the same? What is the cause of this?"
Sri Aurobindo (1872 - 1950)

Sri Aurobindo lived in India. He was a freedom fighter against the english colonial rule and became enlightend in prison.
He founded the Integral Yoga and is together with his female spiritual companion "the Mother", Mira Alfassa, initiator of Auroville.
That is an international spiritual community with more than 2.000 members in Southern India near Pondicherry. The idea of a "universal town", based on the devices of Sri Aurobindo is lived here. "Auroville wants to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities."
